That Damned Brotherhood
|
| Democrats are shrill alarmists crying that the sky is falling | |
| Democrats are name caller girly boys | |
| Bush is mainstream baby oh YEA! (think Austin Powers) | |
| Everyone's turning into a Republican, so the Dems should just accept it. | |
| Oh, and the Republicans won the midterm elections so there. |
Am I missing something here?
Is that really what is so comical about the Dems? Is that what why we lost the
election, didn't have a message and don't have a leader? Boy, you guys on the
right have dug up some amazing dirt on the underbelly of the left wing of
politics! And they are so fair, too!
If not, then I guess the whole point we're missing as Democrats is that the
world really isn't in sorry shape. We were just transparent windbags all along!
I guess all the past two years was really a nightmare caused by something we ate
and we just need to wake up. I guess the Republicans really didn't use war with
Iraq as a brilliant political strategy to control the debate during the
elections! I must have been mistaken regarding the new amendments that showed up
in the Homeland Security bill that just passed in a lame duck congress
(unprecedented). I guess none of those "11th hour amendments" weren't gifts to
their special interests. Shit! What was I thinking? They're not going to reward
anyone for the mandate the American people gave the Republicans (and the bitch
slap they gave the Democrats).
We all know that the Republican
party really doesn't want to overturn Roe V. Wade! I see now that I've
misinterpreted all their "so called" attempts to overturn R v. W. I was
suspicious all along that my feelings about Ralph Reed were misplaced. After he
won the Georgia elections for the party, they'll be fair when it comes to
rewarding him for this. I'm now reassured that the Republican party owes nothing
to the religious right. After all, the Republicans don't need Christian right
any more now that the mainstream of American has moved firmly towards Bush. I
can see that the vast majority of public support is solidly behind the
Republicans. And thank God Florida is still in Bush hands! I'm sure we'll not
have a repeat of 2000 with a firm hand on the wheel leading up to 2004.
You know, having my 401(k)
implode doesn't seem so bad now that I know that people like Harvey Pitt and
William Webster are now on the case. I feel comfortable knowing that my
retirement is secure once we have the death tax finally removed, and we get that
600 billion dollars to the 1% of the workforce where it can do the most good. I
go to sleep comfortable in the knowledge that our health system is the most
expensive in the world, costing us 14% of the GDP. Thank God I have choice! I
know I'm paying 20% more than I was 6 months ago for it, but thank god I got
that raise so that I didn't lose take home pay when the rates got jacked up in
August. I now know the economy's been on an upswing and that the stock market
isn't the economy - I'm just missing the signals. Small investors always lose
anyway, so I don't know what we're whining about.
And I feel ever so much safer
knowing that we're fighting a just war and not preemptively attacking a country
without even an act of war. I mean GEESH! Bush wanted to go to the UN after all,
and by gosh, it really was a good idea to hold the vote about Iraq or he would
have never agreed to UN inspectors! I know it's really just a formality and
besides I can see how it will take a few months to fully mobilize our troops for
a devastatingly easy surgical strike to take out Saddam like we did Usama! And
I'm so glad to realize that Usama is really just right where we want him! Again,
how utterly stupid could I have been? I actually used to think the word nuclear
wasn't pronounced NUKE U LAR! I hate when I use a word and have been saying it
wrong all the time! What an utter fool I must have been making of myself.
I now believe that my
constitutional freedoms are quite secure with John Ashcroft. What could I have
been thinking when I was alarmed by those US citizens being held without
charges? I feel safer already knowing the Office of Information Awareness will
alert the authorities whenever they see anything suspicious (like buying
deuterium, nuclear engineering handbooks and other such things with my American
Express). I feel safer now with every prayer meeting he holds at the office
before starting the hard work of rounding up immigrants who've overstayed their
welcome.
And here I thought the
Republicans were all whiny when all they had to complain about was a sex
scandal. I now realize what a fool I was to believe the Democrats had engineered
economic success - or at least sustained it for an unprecedented amount of time.
I can't believe that I thought we had a surplus under their administration! I
mean, it's just the fault of those damn idiots that we're now in deep deficit
spending. We really only have them to blame for the Trifecta that Bush inherited
from their sorry asses. After all, these corporate implosions really happened
under their watch! We're really just seeing the delayed effect of what happens
when people with low morals lead the country! I'm so glad we have a CEO heavy
administration! CEOs RULE!
I guess nothings been going on at all and I really should just get with the
program and stop my frickn' whining! Damn, I just missed my appointment for the
Smallpox vaccination.
Shit! Gotta go...
