The right wingers are a bunch of delusional morons
Ye gods. Michelle "round 'em up" Malkin is trotting out this map as proof that America is "Red All Over"

Yep, this is the intellectual cream of the right wing crop. Someone who doesn't even understand the idea of population distribution. Here's essentially the same map, but area modified to account for population distribution (electoral votes are used as a surrogate).

These people are blithering idiots who can't even think their way out of a wet paper bag. These are the people who think rocks and trees are surrogate republican citizens.
This is the future of America.

Sincere condolences from Europe!
Reading your post it just occurred to me: We are smarter than them! We should be able to actually *use* that! Let's think hard about that...

I have been. I've got some thoughts from a while back I've been kicking around. One would think. . .
BTW, thanks for the condolences. I just hope the world survives these guys. They are completely out of control with the world's most powerful millitary.
They are not afraid to drag the entire globe down with them. . .

The first map is entirely accurate.
Yeah, she's a bigot, but the first map is entirely accurate.

Accurate and completely misleading. Ever read anything about how to accurately present data? :)

Consider the town I was born in, LaPine OR, which recently voted (again against its best interests) against incorporation. With less than ten thousand residents, had it incorporated it would have covered an area greater than the state of Rhode Island, which has what - two million. Rampant with illiteracy, unemployment, domestic abuse and drug and alcohol abuse... you guessed it, voted prediminantly Rethuglician. While I agree, Hal, that it is misleading, this is why I contend the map is accurate.

I see your point.
