Mavericks

Dude. This is, like, right across the street. 25-50K people. Out of nowhere. Right on my doorstep. Tomorrow morning.

Still, 50 foot waves and people who apparently have no fear. Gotta love that. Cold as hell, though.

Just looking at that gives me the shivers.

The crashing of the waves was darn pretty loud last night. KQED said they were expected @ 35 feet, which is pretty darn amazing on any section of coast line.

It's amazingly sunny today. I'm sure the water is like ice, though.

I reckon I know pretty much where you live if you can hear Mavericks from your house.

If you have an interest in a Bay Area blogger's get-together, shoot me an email; there's one in the works.

looking at this makes me want to go surfing

Is that a search-and-rescue-or-at-least-body-recovery helicopter?
