If you have a movable type blog, you have comment spam. I strongly suspect that the business my favorite troll, Mark, is in is comment spamming blogs and/or sending out spam email. In any event, give this guide a read. This is an excellent document and contains a number of extremely good suggestions and techniques that you can use to keep comment spammers out.
I must say that with MT 3.14 and the latest beta for the MT-Blacklist, I haven't had all that many problems (well, except when Mark comments. Then I seem to get a new wave of spam that immediately follows - I'm just sayin). But there's some new techniques and such that I learned from reading this excellent document that I'm going to put into use.
