Small point

Mark Kleiman relays an excellent suggestion from a friend of his but makes a rather interesting slip.

Making sure the bad guys know about blowback

The point is that the information operation is not focused at the terrorists. It's focused at the vast majority who aren't terrorists. They aren't the "bad guys".

The bad guys aren't going to give a hoot about this and the hope is that this will strike the fear of "Bob" into those who actually have souls, displacing their normal inclination to let the USA drop off the edge of the ocean for all they care.

The suggested strategy is: If we can't change American foreign policy, then we simply must put the fear of a global plague into their collective psyche. Which is not a bad idea even if America was the most beloved of countries and the entire world worried over our every cough and sneeze like a worried mother. Plagues are really bad ideas and pretty much everyone should be educated regarding that. (oh, and maybe we should work really hard so that the standards of medical care around the world are drastically raised - these things work both ways, as we've seen with SARS and things we thought long ago eradicated like polio).

I mean, it's not like Bush is actually going to defeat or even come close to beating back terrorism. These jackals have been busy making 10 terrorists for everyone they kill - and giving them real live insurgency training to boot! And they're just getting started. Even if Kerry wins, the forces these Jackals have set in motion are going to take decades of incredibly hard work to repair.

And we're all going to be very lucky to survive it all. It's time everyone around the world realized how deep the swamp really is. These people screwed up royally and pretty much the entire planet is at serious risk because of them.

But hey, won't Bush be fantastic in the debates?

" the vast majority who aren't terrorists. They aren't the "bad guys"."

Are you defining bad guys properly? For instance Cat Stevens pays Hamas to kill for him. I'd include him in the bad guys.

Hey, since when did Hamas attack the US? Oh, and don't you realize that Hamas is a huge charity organization as well?

Hmmm. I wonder how United States citizens have sent money to Sein fein, part of which built bombs and guns or paid for Irish terrorists? Or what about the payments that we - as a nation - sent off to Saddam Hussein while he was gassing his own people?

This quaint version of black and white that you have doesn't really work in the world I inhabit. I'm pretty sure it doesn't in your world either.

Either we're all damned, or things are bit more complicated than your stated world views would allow for.

"he gave thousands ... to the son of blind cleric Omar Abdel Rachman who was conviected of masterminding the 1993 World Trade Center bombing"

You do care about the World Trade Center?

Any sources?

In any event, I really wonder what this has to do with the price of tea in China. Is he some proxy for the 1.5 billion Muslims? Or is he a proxy for the liberal 5th column headed by Dan Rather?

It would seem you're taking the fallacy of "biased sample" to new heights or you want to have a conversation about the person formerly known as Cat Stevens. The first is a sign of insanity, the second is only mildly interesting to me.

I mean, I grew up with his songs, so he'll always have a cheesy part of my heart. But other than that, I have absolutely zero invested in the man other than the fact that I think the no-fly list is probably one of the stupider things we could be wasting our time on.

Hey, how about Ashcroft's 0-5,000 batting average? Now that's got to be a record to be proud of. Gives me great confidence in these other asinine ideas he seems to love implementing.

Cat is a prominent "Moderate" muslim, and a former hippy, so yes, he's a good sample of the evil some misguided Muslims are up to and of the layered confusion of the Liberal mind.

Take a tour of his website; peace, peace peace...
Then look where his money goes; boom, boom, boom...

Do you really think keeping his wallet away from your terrorist neighbors is a waste of time?

0-5000: A lie.
You remmber Johhny Taliban, Hawash, the Portland Six.
When you lie like this we see into your soul, you are as Evil as Cat, but still confused as to how to harm others.

As for sources, you know where to get information about this, but you don't read -those- web sites because you want to remain ignorant.

Insane. Oh well. Have fun stormin' the castle.

We're in the Castle, you, Cat and Kerry are staying in the swamp outside.

Current Tally - 09/19/04

2000 Adjustment: Bush +3.2%

EV's: Bush 328, Kerry 210
